Gone are the good old days when we just threw a new cat in with the rest, and waited for the dust to settle. Unfortunately, the dust didn't always settle, and two or more cats became enemies, rather than friends for life. The first time in over 20 years that I had to introduce new cats (kittens) was when when we introduced young kittens Jaspurr and Joey to our senior cat, Bubba in 2002. We must have done something right, because Bubba readily accepted them, and even took Jaspurr under his wing for "alpha cat" training.
